UPDATE
ok so i havent touched this blog in ages.
I'll finally update la.
So what have I been doing this holiday. I've been working. I have a 8-5 job at ExxonMobil from Mon-Fri. Pay is ok. Everything is good. Been there about a month+ now. I dun wanna leaveeee. I'm actually enjoying work there. In the beginning I didnt like it, i didnt wanna go to work and i felt rlly out of place. that was because as a newbie, there wasnt alot of work for me to do. and the fact tht i couldnt speak malay meant i couldnt answer the phone and talk. yes, I'm in customer service. I handle applications and complaints for this card called the Discount Card which lets lorries, buses, taxis, etc. enjoy diesel subsidy. So yea.. they come here to complain or to apply la. When u cant speak malay, that is the HUGEST disadvantage EVER. But now.. i actually have work to do, I have cases to handle and im making friends with my collegues as well. There are 3 other girls arnd the same age as me that are working there as temps too. but they'll b leavin in jan while im leavin about 2wks into sept. I come in late and i leave early. haih, right when u start to adapt, u have to leave.

Good news is, Ive been accepted into Westminster. Now i'm waiting for my visa approval and my accommodations approval. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let everything be ok.
So yea.. that the career side of my life.

bad news about having a job and living with ur parents is tht my social life has disintergrated. if i was living by myself with a job, it'd b ok to stay out late into the wee hrs of the night. but with parents i hav to come bak at a "respective" time and my parents dun like me "hanging out" wif friends... and because of uni/visa stuff i have to stay home and "handle" them. hahaha excessive use of the quotation marks.
its a rlly fun yet at the same time stressing experience at work. I have received some prtty weird comments directed to me. lemme just say first tht i am NOT bragging :]
I was talkin to one of my collegues tht works with me and he told me that at first he thot i was about 20yrs old, at most 22. haha do i look old?! he said tht tho i look young, the way i carry myself and speak to ppl and handle things makes me seem older. huh??? Another collegue also thought i was about 20. heh.
On the phone with a customer, I had just told him the solution to his problem and then he starts saying how my voice is so sweet and everything and how its so hard to come across ppl with such a sweet voice. :s trying to quickly end the conversation, i asked him if he had anymore problems, he said tht he wanted to take me out to dinner or something.. nghh i just told him that i couldnt and quickly ended the convo. hahaha
Something else similar, i told the customer that i would get back to him with his problem and he told me that he will be awaiting "my sweet voice." WAT >.>
[if u havent noticed, all these ppl have been guys so far >.< OLD guys]
Other customers have noticed that my chinese isnt malaysian type at all. they said i must not be a malaysian cuz my chinese is too.. "precise." To get away from speaking malay, i sometimes say i m singaporean XD.
One of them also commented that my english sounds american. hahaha.
Oh. the most annoying things is when the customer starts getting really angry and shouting and stuff and then when you get something done for him he's like really apologetic and saying that cuz of his old age he loses his temper easily and stuff like that. haihh.. wat to do.
haha but im having fun. it helps me take my mind of university stuff and it better than staying at home for parents to nag me. i need to get out with friends more tho. miss being a kid.

Eighteen years of age?!
so im eighteen now... havent done anything out of the ordinary yet? where is the hit of LEGALITY? haha
my bday nite.. went to Space on Heritage Row and clubbed there till about 3++am where there was a fight and someone called the cops, so we all had to rush out in a huge mob. outside the club there was another fight.. the guy was shouting at this other guy, i think it was about why he'd called the cops.
we all squished outside and clare suddenly said "omg, where's melissa?" and she didnt pick up her phone or anything.. we went across the street and ben stayed near the entrance to keep a lookout. sian later called me and he was with melissa so everything was ok. we went to the mamak nxt door to just chill for awhile to breathe. we were also freakin out cuz we left a bag inside the club..luckily there wasnt rlly anything valuable inside, and also nothin to connect us to the bag. chilled at the mamak for awhile. eliza and dani went back first to the apartment me booked. later after chillin out for awhile, the rest of us took a cab back to our rooms. clare to le meridian with edwin. me and melissa to the apartment with ashwin, lee and sian.
haha so im skippin alot of the details. such as the feelings, the blanks, and the extras. but i'll keep that little things in my memory box, not written down for the public to see ;) only the ppl that were there noe wat really happened. keke.
but it was an awesome night. my second time clubbing EVER. and my first time experiencing a raid (kinda, sorta, not rlly) haha. tho that wouldnt rlly b something to boast about. but i do wish i had taken photos.
other regrets about the nite? well yea.. i wish we hadnt done brought that and we did that better and i did something and i didnt do something. haha. but its all done and over with, rite? if i could turn back time, mayb i'd hav done a few things a bit more daringly but who am i to say i would? haha it sucks that i cant write anything down like this.
fell asleep at 5am. ashwin and lee left at around 4ish. tom and sian left some time in the early dawn as well.. so it was just us 4 girls alone in a 3bdroom aptment. dad picked me up at about 12ish.. and i went home and collapsed asleep.

when i went upstairs, my bro was watchin tv. i got wished happy birthday. :D i was a bit concerned tht i'd done something wrong cuz the whole car ride when my dad was sendin me home, he didnt say anything or ask about anything... both my parents didnt even wish me happy birthday until dinner time when i asked "why dont we get cake?" and my mom went "why? for wat occasion?" *stab* then my dad came down and was like "why don't we just go eat next door?" *double stab* i had to say something.. i thot mayb they were jokin or something.. "don't i get to choose where to eat for my birthday?" "ohhhhhh. haha its your birthday today. thats wat you get for not coming home. haha. happy birthday, dear." so mayb thts more of a *half stab* so in the end my mom didnt really ever wish me happy birthday. i mean.. its no big deal..theyre my parents, they live with me everyday of my life. it kinda goes without saying.. no?
so anyways, we went to Dragon-I to eat then had Häagen-Dazs ice cream cake. i gues it was their own way of sayin sorry. we had no candles in the hse tho. its ok.. i can compromise :)

graduation dinner was before clubbing. that was fun. it was at le meridian. gorgeous setting. everyone was dressed up really nice too. Ke Ni got her dress all the way from Raymond. how fucking sweet is that!! and the dress is gorgeous on her. if the pics a bit blurry, she's the one on the bottom row in the beautiful long red dress next to ji eun. so hot. wow. girls missing from the pic below are lakshmi ( sick) and ran (AWOL).

saturday nite, as a whole family celebration thing, we went to Lemon Garden in Shangri-La for an all you can eat buffet. sooo goooddd. sooo fulll. there was a huge chocolate fountain and their ice cream had so many toppings. other than desserts, the food was good too.. HUGEE oysters. yummy prawn and sushi. the pasta was good too. they had everything from chinese to indian to japanese and to western cuisine. just delish. by the time i was finished with desserts, i was so sick of chocolate. haha. luckily they had calamansi flavored ice cream which was sooo sour, it was good. hehe.
sigh. such good food. about RM98 per person. :O!!
its ok. i forgive them now ;)

A Busy Week
EXAMS ARE OVAAA!! woo~
now must chill and enjoy myself till august 10th.. my d-day when the results come out.
im so low on cash.. this is insanee. ii need around RM250 AT least to survive the rest of this week.. :s
last fri had a BBQ/Pool party at Vista Kiara which was really fun. So funny watching the guys play twister. they werent spinning the board, but instead just deciding by themselves which is the hardest position to put the players in next. haha. the put perry and dana into the WEIRDEST positions. haha. poor boys :P (surely they secretly enjoyed it. keke)

its so weird.. school's over.. and yet ive been goin to school for the past 2 days at normal morning times =.=""
monday met up wif melissa and eliza just to hang out.. and then "after school" we went to the sunrise courts to play some volleyball.
tuesday morning trained a bit with clare, joyce, melissa and eliza.. then we met up at school with the other team players at 2:45 then went off to the austrailian int. schoool where we played some friendly matches. best out of three. the guys won 1/3 matches, the girls won 2/2. then we played 2 sets of mixed teams. we won both of those :D so overall.... well. GIS WON~~!!
there might be another match soon against them.. so that will b cool. hopefully we can go :D
wednesday (today).. i was suppose to clean my room (didn't, of course) and then wait for the maid to come... my dad wants me to still keep my notes. he wont let me throw them away or recycle them until im accepted into UK... what am i gonna do with my notes even if i dont get accepted =.="" the fucking annoying thing is that my notes are in no particular order.. he wants me to organize them!! i DONT WANN~! =.= my brother isnt even takin the same subs i am in A'levels.. so its not like he can use them...
thursday morning i have to go to the dentist and then straight after, i'll be meeting up with melissa, eliza, ro and sian. i hope the dentist appt goes by fast :(. then i gotta rush back home at 2ish to watch the maid clean the hse and shit again =.="" its so rushed.. wat the fucking point is it for a maid to come 2 days in a row.. she wont have anything to do!!! >.<" stupid mentally. gez.
friday is the grad dinner nite. the plan timing isnt confirmed yet.. but i'll be going to eliza's house with my sleeping clothes and stuff then her dad is going to drive us to the apt we'll b staying at and help us check in and everything. where i will drop off my stuff... then depending on the time.. i'm going to try and buy my contacts on that day as well.. since i dont have time on thurs... i shoulda snuck out and got them today :(. friday night, after the dinner, i'll b going to heritage as a little present to myself :D i still cant believe my parents actually allowed me to stay over this nite hehehe. happy happy

Gay Marriages

Controversial Issues:
1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

so wat else is new? oh. a few weeks ago we had a nest in one of our house plants. they're gone now. but the little chicks were so cute and it was cool to see the mama/papa bird come and feed them :D

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...

Girls Need to Realize
saw this as a bulletin posted on Friendster. I found it really cute.

Guys don't care if you're friends with other guys.But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off. It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there.
We don't care if a guy calls OR TEXTS you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned. Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning.
Also, when we tell you you're pretty/beautiful/gorgeous/cute/stunning, we freaking mean it. Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you. The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence. Yeah, you can quote me.
Don't be mad when we hold the door open. Take advantage of the mood I'm in. Let us pay for you! Don't "feel bad," we enjoy doing it. It's expected. Smile and say "thank you."
Kiss us when no one's watching. If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed.
You don't have to get dressed up for us. If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own. We like you for who you are and not what you are. Honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's or my shirt and boxers, not all dolled up.
Don't take everything we say seriously. [=))] Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it. Don't get angry easily.
Stop using magazines/media as your bible.
"Don't talk about how hot Chris Brown, Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us". It's boring, and we don't care. You have friends for that. Whatever happened to the word "handsome"/"beautiful." I'd be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me with "Hey handsome!" instead of "Hey baby/stud/cutie/sexy" or whatever
else you can think of. on the other hand I'm not saying i wouldn't like it ether ; )
Girls, I cannot stress this enough: if you aren't being treated right by a guy, don't wait for him to change. Ditch his sorry ASS, he's a disgrace to the male population and find someone who will treat you with respect you deserve.
Someone who will honor your morals.
Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.
Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.
Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel.
Someone who will stop what they're doing just to look you in the eyes....and say "i love you" ..and actually mean it.
Give the nice guys a chance.
Every guy who isn't a jerk will agree with this.
