Im back from Kota Kinabalu. Came bak on friday and hav been TOO lazy to move and update. the pics are all spread out between MANY pplz cameras (eliza's, clare's, edwin's, melissa's) and so im really wayy to lazy to upload them all here. hehe.
Monday - July 2
woke up early in the morning. went to airport. airasia flight.
(JUMPING ROPE!! hehe. great thing to see him so early in the morning =p)when we got on the plane, they told us to "keep your seat belts off" because they were filling up the petrol of the plane. WTF. its like saying "please keep ur seat belts off so tht u can run off the plane incase we accidentally blow u all up to pieces."
sat wif eliza and meliss. and jumping rope sat nearby too. =D we played dai dee. and i beat him twice. hehehe. he's soo cute!!! got a vid of him sleepin. will get it off melissa later hehe.
arrived at KK.
took a taxi to the park HQ. we were one of the first taxi to leave the airport. and we ended up being one of the last to arrive =.="

KAWAII~)we checked into the hostel. me bunking wif joyce, eliza and melissa. had dinner at a cafe nearby. there was a briefing on the mountain trail and there was a guy and girl briefing the thing. the girl always had one arm behind her back and she seirously looked like she onli had one arm. haha. the guy briefing was cute =P
then we roamed about and found an endless road. it was serioussly creeeeepy. it just kept going and going and going.
went to slp and it was FUCKINNN cold. couldnt sleep properly =(
Tuesday - July 3
woke up in the morning. and went of the liwagu trail. i almost died. perry didnt survive.
(back of jumping rope's head. and chocolate's in the back too =D)tht trail lasted 4 or 5 hours. when we got back, we went around and sat on the walls and just wasted time.
(unwilling eliza stuck in the middle hahahah)went for some midnite walking later.. could feel the headhunters eyes on me as we walked. and the background "wonk wonk wonk" sounds. the super dark alleys. freaked us all out. haha.
at nite had a briefing on the mountain trail. i was put in jumping rope's group!! we'd b the first to start hikiing up the nxt day.. they were expecting us to b the last ones arriving at the top. cuz of a really slow hiker *cough* me *cough*
Wednesday - July 4
woke up early in the morn. checked in all our huge bags into the storage at the park HQ. then we took a bus to the gate to start our trail. around 2km in my breathin got uneven and i pretty much got so slow tht i ended up being the LAST ONE. so embarassing. jumping rope stayed behind with me pushin me on and encouraging me. it was really sweet but i felt rlly guilty for pullin and slowing him down. goin up the really high stairs he would help support me by pushin by bag up so tht when i go up its lighter. he really is too kind and i could feel tht he was gettin frustrated with me being so slow but he was stil there to wait for me. around 4km i pretty much was about to keel over and die. i started laggin behind and jumping rope had gone ahead with edwin. the guide caught up to me (he was behind us the whole way chattin with his frends) and helped me up the rest of the way . he took my bag and took my hand and led me the rest of the way up. i finally made it to laban rata, the rest stop there. it was quite cold and windy but the view was absolutly gorjuz.
the food there was ok. quite expensive. but the portions were huge. so i suppose they make up for the high prices.
bunked with rohan, dana, melissa n eliza. we were all gonna slp at around 8 something but the other guys game in and we gossiped and wasted time until we finally shooed them out at round 9 plus. gossiped and talked some more and then we all went to slp at around 10 something. slept for about 4 hrs before waking at 1am for the climb up to the summit.
Thursday - July 52am we started our hike up to the summit. first a lot of steps (after this trip, i REALLY HATE STAIRS) and then we encountered steep rock where u had to pull urself up with the rope. tht part was fun. but quite tiring.
climbed for a bout 3 or 4 hrs. finally reached the top at around 5am. missed the sunset. just by a bit. everyone was crowding at the tip of the summit. so crowded. i was soo tired.. but had finally made it to the top. (with the help of a guide, of course. hehe. im weak, i noe.)

(melissa the monkeyy)on the way down the altitude and exhautsion began to hit me and i felt like fainting at some points. reachin lower to the bottom i began to feel a bit better but my legs wouldnt stop shaking. and then my stomach started grumbing. >.<" and the guide heard it. so mean. he kept teasin me about it. and he'd also laugh about how badly my feet were shaking. haha meaniee. finally reached laban rata. onli got to rest for a few minutes. had to go pack and then we had to start off again and start climbing down. me and laks were the 2 slowest ppl. haha. so we took our own pace and then the guides caught up wif us. and ended up helping us the rest of the way down. my legs were shakin even harder than before now and every 10 steps or so by knees would buckle >.<" at the last steps we took our bags frm our guides and walked the rest up without help and pretended tht we had climbed the whole thing without any help at all =D haha. but we seriously would never been able to do it without the guides. took a taxi back to park HQ. took our big rucksacks and then we got into a van and took the van to the hotel. Berjaya Palace Hotel. bunked with eliza and melissa. in the hotel room, there was a call for eliza. so i just automatically assumed it was for me. so the person on the other line started talkin to me like they knew me rlly well and they sounded like one of my mom's frends so i just played along and acted like i knew who was talkin. haha. later i found out it was eliza's aunt tht was talkin to me and she had mistaken me for eliza as well... cursesss for havin the same name. our hotel room had a channel where they played this 5 karoke songs over and over again. our fav one is "can you pay my bills" by destiny child. so funny. hahha. had dinner in the hotel cafe. i had prawn fritters and yummy choc milkshake. hehe. which the teachers subsidized rm20 for each person. after dinner we foozed for awhile. the foosball tables suckkk. then we (me n melissa) dragged eliza, adrian and perry into the karoke laser lounge to sing. hehe. all the ppl there were these malay dudes tht are like 4times our age!! one really happy song came on and suddenly they all got up and started dancing. it was seriously scary and funny. haha. perry got up and sang "when you say nothing at all" by ronan keating. so braveeee. after that song we all scurried out hahha. but it was fun. we went to bed at around 12+ and the beds were all so nice and comfy.
Friday - July 6Woke up at around 8:30. packed and then woke melissa up (eliza had woken at 8 and alreadi gone downstairs). we went for breakfast. then walked around. found a swing chair where we sat for awhile and thought of a new code name for jumping rope. he's now called "humphry". dont ask. melissa thought of it. haha. im stil too use to jumping rope tho. so for the sake of the blog. im stil gonna continue to refer to him as jumping rope. =D
checked out at 11:30pm. while waiting for the bus. some of them played games. chris did the splits and to beat him, thomas tried too. hehe. soooo funny. melissa's got a vid. will upload it once i get it frm her.
(the pain. just after climbing the tallest mountain in SE-Asia)took a bus tot he airport. flight. arrived at around 4:30. didnt reach home until around 6. i ate dinner (maggi mee tom yam flavor), showered and then went straight to sleep.. didnt wake up until next day 2pm. 20 hours of beautiful uninterupted sleep. hehe.
